BlitzCoat uses DK19 epoxy powder coating, the industry benchmark coating widely recognized within the electrical insulation and switchgear manufacturing industries for its premium performance protecting medium voltage bus bars.
Bus bars insulated with DK19 boast high dielectric strength, excellent arc resistance, and strong mechanical durability with a smooth finish. DK19 adheres better to copper than silicone coatings and offers more uniform thickness and better edge coverage than liquid epoxy can manage.
These advantages make DK19-insulated bus bars the preferred choice for substation and transformer environments, where they must stand up to heat cycling, mechanical stress, and environmental exposure such as dust and humidity.
